Une pépite absolue : ‘The Greatest’ de Cat Power

Hello Folks,

Encore une fois, c’est par le plus grand des hasards que je suis tombé sur cette pépite inouïe, un pur moment d’émotion de 3 min 22 sec, qui ne date pourtant pas d’hier… interprétée du fond du coeur et du bout des lèvres par Charlyn Marie ‘Chan’ Marshall, alias Cat Power, chanteuse américaine, née le 21 janvier 1972 à Atlanta.

Vous retrouverez cette perle sur l’album éponyme enregistré à Memphis en 2006. Tout comme le sublime ‘Fistful of Love’ d’Antony and the Johnsons, elle fait partie de ces rares chansons qui se passent de commentaires.
